I Should Be Folding Laundry

I passed my glucose screening test! In other words, I don't have gestational diabetes. :) Also, my doc said my blood pressure is good, my iron levels are good and Lincoln's heartbeat is strong and steady. I'm so glad. :)

Sorry I look so worn out in this week's picture, I've been getting over a nasty cold. :) How far along? 27 weeks Total weight gain: 14.5 pounds Maternity clothes? Mm hmm :) Stretch marks?  No more so far, thank goodness! Sleep: I've been sleeping a little worse this week since I'm getting over a cold. How far along? 26 weeks Total weight gain: 14 lbs. Maternity clothes? Yes, they're so comfy! Stretch marks? At the beginning of the week, I thought I was getting my first stretch marks on my tummy but they aren't actually there (yay!) Sleep: I've been getting more uncomfortable now that my belly's so gosh darn big. Best moment this week: Watching Lincoln kick! Miss Anything? Not feeling uncomfortable 24/7. I'm really considering boycotting bras for the remainder of my pregnancy since even my sports bra is making my upper ribs hurt. There are SO many things I'm excited for and I wanted to share some of them with you all! 1: Lincoln! Obviously, I'm super excited to meet my little boy! I have just over 14 weeks till his due date and I can hardly wait! I just want him to be out and a part of our little family! 2: My cloth diapers! I ordered my first set of 6 today and I'm excited to get them. I'm still a little nervous for the whole cloth diapering thing, but I'm ready for the challenge! 3: Setting up Lincoln's (kinda) nursery! When I say kinda, I really mean kinda. He's going to share a bedroom with me and Josh till our lease is up and we upgrade to a two bedroom apartment so he isn't getting an official nursery quite yet. But we have a crib, changing table and a dresser all ready to be set up! 4: My baby shower! My sister Madison is throwing me a baby shower and its going to be SO fun! About fifteen minutes ago, I took the dog out and got the mail. It was overcast but I didn't think it would rain for a while longer since the clouds were hardly dark at all. I went back inside and five minutes later, I hear a big BOOM! Then it seems like the clouds are just dumping buckets of rain all of a sudden! A flash and then another BOOM! My confession is I'm scared (almost, but not quite to death) of thunder and lightning storms. Usually Josh is here to wrap me in a blanket, make me some popcorn and turn on a show like Masterchef or Hell's Kitchen to keep my mind occupied and off the (so I feel like) impending doom that the outside world is bringing. However, he's still hard at work and I'm at home alone. Lucky for me, I've got a dog to sit by and a book to read. Josh came home from work today and he confessed that the sound of meat makes him want to vomit. The funny part about this is, I've been feeling the exact same way for about two weeks! Anything meat; pork, beef, fish, you name it, it makes us sick! I guess there's sympathy aversions as well as sympathy cravings!

Yes, I know I spelled Cantaloupe wrong... Don't judge me lol How Far Along? 24 weeks Total Weight Gain:  11 pounds. I gained 8 pounds in one month! That was a real downer... Luckily my doc said I'm right on track with healthy weight gain for the stage I'm at. Maternity Clothes? Yep, I'm loving how comfy they are! Stretch Marks? No more since I got a few on my boobs, thank goodness... Sleep:  I've been having dreams that I deliver at 25 weeks or so... I hope its not a premonition... I had an awesome time with Josh on Labor Day. He had the day off (a rare occasion) and we were busy! First we went to the zoo, a place I LOVE! Then we went to Josh's very first baseball game. Go Salt Lake Bees! My best friend Shallise and her boyfriend Spencer were there too! And now some silly pictures! After the game, Josh and I went to Verizon to get me a new phone. My old phone, a ghetto flip one bit the dust on Sunday morning.  I upgraded to this fancy new touch screen phone! Samsung Brightside! All in all, we had a fabulous day!  Happy Labor Day! Mackenzie
