Holy Cow! Part 2

I just got back from my doctors appointment and I was informed that instead of a 1 pound baby, I'm actually carrying a 2 pound baby. The average weight of a baby in utero at this stage is about 20 ounces whereas Lincoln weighs a whopping 32(ish) ounces. All I can say is, Holy Cow!

Week 23 Pregnancy Update

How far along? 23 weeks Total weight gain: 3 lbs. Maternity clothes? Yes! I bought a dress and a couple new shirts at target but I need to get more since my belly is making all my pre-pregnancy clothes look funny on me... Stretch marks? None on my belly yet, thank goodness! Sleep: I've been having pre-term delivery nightmares... I hope its not a premonition... Best moment this week:   Josh came home from school and he snuggled with me for a few minutes before doing his homework. He makes me feel so loved. :) Miss Anything? My old sense of balance. Chloe the Frady Cat

Image
My dog Chloe is scared of a lot of random things. She's scared of laundry baskets, mixing bowls and the newest one on the list, exercise balls. Last night, Josh was playing with her and he threw her toy on top of the exercise ball that was in the corner of our bedroom. Chloe circled it trying to figure out how to get her bear off the top of that ball. She tapped it and suddenly it rolled toward her, she ran from it, hit the dresser next to her, yelped and ran under the bed. When she finally got the courage to come out, she jumped on my lap and didn't move for the rest of the night. It was very traumatic for her. Poor thing!

Already In Love

Image
I never had any idea how much I could love someone until I got pregnant. I love Josh with all my heart, but I already love my son so much. Feeling him move makes me smile, seeing him move nearly brings me to tears and seeing him on the ultrasound took my breath away. I thought I could fathom the feeling and love of being a mother before I became pregnant, but I was so wrong. Everyday I am full of amazement at that little wonder growing in my tummy could bring me so much joy. I can't wait to meet you, Lincoln. :) Mommy loves you...

A Big Decision

Image
Josh and I have decided to cloth diaper our kids. A lot of you may be thinking, why would you want to diaper your kid in something like this: But nowadays, cloth diapers look like this: Fuzzibuns Brand Cloth Diaper There are a lot of reasons we want to cloth diaper. These are just a few. 1. Environment For every 1 cloth diaper we buy and use, 260 disposables stay out of landfills. 2. Cute Designs! I've seen zebra/giraffe print, I've seen flower print on Josh's cousins little girl, I've seen cute animals on these diapers and they have just about every color under the sun. :) The cuteness factor is a big one for me. 3. Cost Here's an excerpt from the applecheeks.com website: You’re saving a TON of money: From the moment he is born until 30 months of age, your baby will go through approximately 5400 throwaway diapers. This can cost you anywhere from $1500 – $2500. By choosing to cloth diaper your child, you can spend as little as $550 f...

The Love of My Life

Image
I've got the best man in the whole world to call my own and he's everything I've ever wanted or needed. He tells me I can do anything I set my mind to and he loves me unconditionally. He is possibly the hardest worker I've ever seen. Even when he's worked from 7 AM till 11 PM for five days in a row, he has never complained about having to go to work. He's the biggest blessing in my entire life. I love him with all that I am. Josh, you are my everything. <3 Our first picture together! Josh's proposal at Disneyland My favorite picture from our wedding

Week 21 Pregnancy Update

Image
So like I said in the last post, my new due date is December 26th instead of the 30th. The countdown to Christmas has never been easier! How Far Along? 21 Weeks Total Weight Gain: 3 pounds Maternity Clothes? Pants from Ross and shirts from Target. I've also been LOVING my maternity yoga pants (pictured here) They just fit me so much better than my PJ pants that I used to be able to wear. Stretch Marks? I've actually started to get stretch marks on my boobs (sadly...) Sleep: Sleeping better, no weird dreams this week Best Moment This Week: Seeing him kick my stomach. Its all getting so exciting!!! Miss Anything? Nothing that I haven't already mentioned Movement: Tons! Although I do wish he could be awake and active during the day instead of starting to move around at about 9 PM Food Cravings: Still the raspberry Yoplait yogurt and a gas station by my house has the tastiest chicken sandwiches EVER! I've been eating those almost every day for lunch for the past week.....

Just So You All Know...

I'm going to be posting these updates on Wednesdays or Thursdays now since my doctor changed my due date to the 26th of December instead of the 30th. In other words, instead of being 19 weeks 6 days pregnant, I'm actually 20 weeks 3 days pregnant. So expect them then instead of on Sunday afternoons. :) Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you subscribe!!! Mackenzie

Hey everyone! Josh and I found out the gender of our cute little peanut! Drum roll please... *ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd* *tsss* Its a.......... Boy! Josh and I are SO excited! I'll add the ultrasound pictures of him at the bottom. :) How Far Along? 19 Weeks Total Weight Gain:  3 pounds. Apparently my daily workouts have been paying off since I lost a pound since my last appointment! That's what I'd call motivation! Maternity Clothes? The dress in this picture is technically a maternity dress, although I think I can wear it after the baby comes. :) Stretch Marks? None yet Sleep: My stomach is starting to get a little heavier now and since I'm generally a side sleeper, its getting a little more difficult to stay comfortable. Also, I'm not supposed to be sleeping on my back anymore because baby is heavy enough that he's starting to cut off the circulation to my legs and lower back. Obviously, very dangerous! Best Moment This Week: Seeing my l...
